We are proud to have, thus far (2021-2024), served over 400 members from low-income backgrounds, 272 (68%) coming from single-family households.
Of the 400 individual community members served through our programs, 259 (65%) are children and youth aged 1 to 18 years old.
We are proud to share that we have successfully supported safe housing for over 200 individuals, including infants, toddlers and young people.
We have distributed over 750 backpacks filled with school supplies, more than 45 PCs and 700 cozy winter jackets to our amazing families.
Akazu-Rental & Utilities Assistance
Between 2021-2024, through our Akazu (Housing and Utilities Assistance) program, we have helped keep over 30 families, a total of 207 individuals (adults & children), over 60% being single parent/guardian household, out of homelessness, preventing over 70 evictions and 50 shutoff notices.
Y.E.A.M Program
The present well-being, and future empowerment of our youth are foundational to the health and wealth of our community and the future it holds. We launched this program to primarily focus on the academic achievement of our youth through mentorship, personal development/empowerment strategies, and civic engagement approaches. Our youth breakdown are as follows: Total Youth being served = 259 (65%)​
1-4 Years old = 34 (13%)​; 5-10 Years old = 78 (30%)​
11-12 Years old = 45 (17%); 13-18 Years old = 102 (39%)​
Back-to-School & Agapira Drives
From 2021 to 2024, we distributed 757 filled backpacks to students of all ages, including adults returning to school within our community. Additionally, we provided 48 PCs and Chromebooks. We also distributed 705 winter jackets, ensuring our families stay warm, safe, and healthy.
